That Guides Your Journey
This Message is inspired by the Reading, “What God Do You Serve” from the Book Overcoming Darkness.
In our quest for success, we often lose sight of God’s Plan. Our focus becomes what we See and perceive to be Right. God reminds us that our Wisdom is foolishness in His Sight (Wise as a Serpent). God’s Plan for us is to Seek His Kingdom and His Righteousness, Then All Things will be added unto us. (1 Corinthians 3:19, Matthew 6:33)
In seeking righteousness, we learn to relinquish our Free Will and our unholy thoughts. Our Free Will is filled with our “Old Man” Character and Self-Righteous Spirit. As we grow Spiritually, we gain a greater understanding of taking God’s Yoke upon us. (Ephesians 4:22, Colossians 3:9-10, Romans 6:6)
When we seek God’s Kingdom and His Righteousness, we become Hearers and Doers of the Word. We engage in all Holy and Godly conversation. We take no thought for tomorrow. We know that God Provides our every need. We take his Yoke upon us, for his burden is light. We cherish God’s Guidance and understand that He is a God of Order. (James 1:22, Luke 11:28, Matthew 6:34, Philippians 4:19, Matthew 11:29-30, I Corinthians 14:33)
The Promise of All is only limited by our Faith. This Promise is only limited by the lengths of our adherence and respect for God’s Order. God’s requirements are not difficult. God only requires us to come and learn of Him. Once we begin learning, we begin working out our Own Salvation. (2 Corinthians 5:7, Matthew 9:29, Galatians 5:25, 1 Peter 2:1, Philippians 2:12-13)
Song for the Week:
“Never Weaken” Written by John Stuckey Jr Featuring Ed “Sax” Thomas
WHAT GOD DO YOU SERVE?
What God do you serve?
Is it a God that promotes sin
Is it the god of false idols Or belief in other men
What God do you serve? Is
it the god of envy and greed
Or is it the God that supplies
Your every want and need
What God do you serve?
Is it the god of cars and fine dress
Or is it the God that keeps you
Working at your best
What God do you serve?
Is it the god of alcohol and smoke
Or is it The God that fulfills
Every one of your dreams and hopes
What God do you serve?
Is it the god of money and pleasures
Or it is the God Who owns
All of life’s treasures
