This Message is inspired by the Reading “Walking the Line” from the Book Overcoming Darkness.

Evil Spirits will attempt to draw us in. They Taunt us in an attempt to have us lash out.  The Scriptures teach us that even when we do good, evil is always present. Our Faith is measured by our ability to exercise Patience when Evil Spirits confront us.  Being slow to Anger is our armor against Evil Spirits. (Proverbs 16:28, Romans 7:21, Psalm 45:9, Hebrews 11:6, James 1:19-20)

As we grow in Patience, we learn to despise the Sin and not the Sinner. The Enemy’s goal is for us to despise the Sinner.  If we find ourselves attacking the Sinner, we are succumbing to the wiles of the enemy. “Tit for Tat” is the Evil Spirit the Enemy promotes to have us warring against one another. The Scriptures Teach us to turn the other Cheek.  While we do Turn the other Cheek, we never submit to Evil Spirits. We show the Evil Spirits that Love Conquers All. Love causes the Evil Spirits to flee. (Luke 6:27-28, Ephesians 6:11, Matthew 5:38-40, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

Our Godly Spirit always seeks Justice and Order. This Spirit guides us to do what is Right and Honorable in God’s Sight (Decent and in Order). We fight our Battles with Love, Dignity and Honor.  We operate with Clean Hands in of all the affairs of our lives.  Our Patience gives us the strength to take no thought for tomorrow. (Micah 6:8, 2 Corinthians 10:4, Psalm 24:3-4, Matthew 6:34)

When we Let Go and Let God, we gain the power of Endurance. Endurance grants us the strength to persevere. Perseverance grants us an increase in our Faith (Unyielding Faith). Faith increases our Patience. We wait on the Lord and acknowledge Him in all of our ways. (I Corinthians 13:4-5, Luke 21:19, Psalm 27:14, Colossians 1:11, Proverbs 3:6)

Song for the Week:

Reach Out, Give Them Love, Do What You Got To Do.

WALKING THE LINE

The path of right and wrong

 Is ever present and near

It’s only for those

Who have an ear to hear

When life tries to take away

Your very existence

Our human instincts

Are to fight with all resistance

Some will cross the line

And lose their way

Thank God for his judgment

To keep us on his narrow way

It’s a thin line Between Love and Hate

So, of its fruits

 We cannot partake

Only the strong survive

With strength and might

Love, Patience, and Kindness

Are our weapons in the fight
