This Message is inspired by the Reading “A Writer’s Song” from the Book Overcoming Darkness written and performed by John Stuckey Jr.

Angels are Spiritual beings created by God who not only share his messages, but also actively do his will, and fight our spiritual battles. The Angels in the Bible bring us messages from God (A Word from the Lord). (Acts 8:26, Daniel 10:13)

Peter had firsthand experience with his Guardian Angel. Peter was imprisoned by King Herrod for being a member of the early Christian Church. King Herrod saw that imprisoning Peter and beheading James met the approval of the people in his Territory. Peter was placed in shackles and was guarded by four Guards. He was to have a public trial after the Jewish Passover. God sent an Angel and awakened Peter.  The Chains fell from his body. Then the Angel led him to safety (Nothing But the Lord). When Peter realized that it was not man that released him, he understood that God sent an Angel to rescue him. (Acts 12:6-12)

Angels of the Lord surround and provide protection when we put on the whole armor of Truth and Righteousness.  The Angels provide protection from the evil spirits (Unclean Spirits) roaming the Earth. These evil spirits are the Angels who did not keep their positions of authority. Satan, a fallen Angel himself desires to kill steal and destroy (The Devil is a Lie). He and his emissaries promote and promulgate Spiritual Wickedness in High Places. They promote the darkness covering the Earth. (Psalm 91:11-12, Psalm 34:7, Exodus 23:20, Isaiah 14:12, John 10:10, Ephesians 6:12, Isaiah 60:1)

Seeking First the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness is a component of our protection from the evil spirits. Our Faith is anchored in the promise that No Weapons formed against us shall prosper. Our Guardian Angels are here to minister to our Spirit and keep us on the path of Righteousness. Our strength comes from our belief in God’s Word. (Matthew 6:33, Isaiah 54:12, Hebrews 1:14, Psalm 46:1)

When we experience God’s Favor, we know it was God’s Will and not our Will. Our Guardian Angels are encamped around us bringing glad tidings and cheer (Be of Good Cheer). Our Guardian Angels encourage us to always wait on the Lord and employ God’s Peace that surpasses all understanding. (Matthew 6:10, Psalm 91:11-12, Isaiah 40:31, Philippians 4:7)

Song for the Week:

“Send Me an Angel” Written and Performed by John Stuckey Jr

A WRITER’S SONG

An Artist creates

A beautiful sight

A Preacher brings a message

About things that are right

A Teacher creates thoughts

 In the minds of others

A Mother shows her Children

How to Love one another

A Tree gives breath For Man to live

Mankind’s first thought should be

What Love can we give

A Flower grows

From Mother Nature’s Earth

God gave His Only Son

To grant us Life over Death

God Gives us Love

To know right from wrong

He grants us Peace

In the words of this Writer’s Song
