This message is inspired by the Reading “Never Weaken” from the Book Overcoming Darkness.

The Apostle Paul shares with us that when he would do good, evil is present with him. He encountered the force of evil in his spreading of the Gospel. We encounter evil every day. It comes from our employment, business, acquaintances, news, social media and telephone just to name a few. Most importantly, evil is within ourselves. We are encouraged to guard our hearts with all diligence. The enemy is on the attack more now than ever before. (Romans 7:21, Proverbs 4:23, 1 Peter 5:8)

Evil reveals itself in the form of people being boastful, proud, ungrateful, slanderous and without love. As we witness events occurring in the world, we see many of these character flaws involved. We understand that evil thoughts and ways have no place in God’s Kingdom. We understand that we must put on the whole armor to fight evil and abide in Peace. (2 Timothy 3:1-5, 1 Peter 3:11, 2  Peter 3:11, Ephesians 6:11)

The enemy is on the warpath seeking whom he may devour. We counter his evil spirit by opening our Spiritual Eyes. We are continually seeking first the Kingdom of God. Our armor is to “Never Weaken.” (1 Peter 5:8, Matthew 6:33)
