That Guides Your Journey
This Message is inspired by the Reading, “The Road Less Traveled” from the Book, Overcoming Darkness.
Life on Earth brings many challenges to our Spiritual Growth. The Challenges include understanding how God wants us to respond when we face adversity (Wise As A Serpent – November 29th, 2022). When we ponder our responses to adversity, we should ask ourselves, “is it True?” “is it Kind?” “Is it Necessary?.” When our responses embody these favorable characteristics, we are assured that the Words of Our Mouth and the Meditations of our Hearts are acceptable in God’s Sight. (Philippians 4:8, Ephesians 4:29, Psalm 19:14)
Are the Statements we are making True and not our Opinion? The line between Truth and Opinion is not thin or difficult to ascertain. Opinion is always what we think or believe. Truth is always anchored in Facts. Satan will attempt to confuse matters by having us believe that facts are not the Truth. Truth is the Truth regardless of the perspective from which we view it. The Truth is the Beacon that guides our path. The Truth sets us Free. (Proverbs 18:2, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Peter 2:1, John 8:32, Matthew 5:14-16)
When we find ourselves in uncertain circumstances, we often subscribe to “I got to do something about it.” God’s Anointed never subscribe to this Spirit (Wait Patiently – June 14th, 2022). His Anointed represent a Spirit of Peace that surpasses Understanding. We know that all matters are in God’s Hands. We experience firsthand the Truth that our God provides all we need. We are always Spiritually prepared to drink from the Cup our Heavenly Father Pours (April 12th, 2022). (Exodus 14:13, Philippians 4:6, Isaiah 49:2, Philippians 4:19, Psalm 37:39-40, John 18:11)
Letting Go and Letting God lets us take our burdens to the Lord and leave them there. We resist the urge to take matters in our own Hands (Free Will – October 5th, 2021). When we Let Go and Let God, our actions and ways are guided by the Spirit of Truth: Is it True, Kind and Necessary? (Matthew 11:28-30, 1 John 4:6, John 15:26, John 16:13)
Song for the Week:
“Let Go and Let God” performed by John Stuckey Jr
THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED
The road less traveled
Traveling Far and near
Singing voices of love
Always ringing in my ear
Being always mindful of His cheer
Being prayerful for his promises always near
Being overwhelmed by His shining glory
Being blessed to tell the story
The road less traveled
Not a crowded highway
Knowing tomorrow becomes yesterday
Is why we sing Oh Happy Day
Knowing God’s will
Is always for good
We can’t doubt his promises
Even if we could
The road less traveled
A highway it is
Full of his blessings
And the promises He fulfills
