This message is inspired by the Reading “Never Weaken” from the Book Overcoming Darkness.

On our Spiritual Journey, we learn to embrace an Unyielding Faith. We find many examples of Great Faith in the Bible. Abraham had faith in believing the promise of a Son. Job showed his faith by never weakening to the wiles of the devil. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were cast into the Fiery Furnace having Faith in God for their deliverance.  Daniel had Faith that he would be delivered from the Lion’s Den. All of these Biblical Icons exhibited exemplary measures of Faith.  They were Selfless in carrying out God’s Will. (Genesis 17:16, Job 33:4, Daniel 3:17, Daniel 6:22)

How does our Faith measure up to these Spiritual Icons? Can we enter the Lion’s Den, Physically or in Spirit?  Can we withstand losing our earthly possessions or would we curse God in order to maintain our Possessions? Are we capable of heeding God’s Instructions? God has provided Scriptures that we may be thoroughly furnished unto all good Works. (Romans 12:3, Colossians 3:2, 2 Peter 3:10, John 10:27, 2 Timothy 3:17)

The Disciple Peter’s Faith was tested. When he saw the strength of the Wind he began to sink.  Jesus took his hand and saved Him.  As Believers in God’s Promises, we learn to never doubt God. Our Faith can move Mountains (Never Weaken). Our Greatest example is Jesus. His Faith Transcended Mortal Men. Peter took his eyes off the Promises that he learned from Walking with Jesus. He began to sink when he trusted what he saw rather than trusting his Faith. (Matthew 14:22-33)

Our Faith is in the belief in things hoped for and not yet seen.  We are only required to have Faith the size of a Mustard Seed.  Our Faith is anchored in the Promise that all things work together for our Good (All Things Work for Our Good). Our Faith trusts and believes that God’s Will is always being done. We Walk by Faith and not by Sight. (Hebrews 11:1, Matthew 17:20-21, Romans 8:28, Matthew 6:9, 2 Corinthians 5:7)

The Light is Shining Brighter till that Perfect Day. Eye has not seen, Ear has not heard neither has it entered into our Hearts, the Blessings God has in Store for us (Confidence) God is Faithful to His Promises. His Word will not return unto Him Void. (Proverbs 4:18, 1 Corinthians 2:9, Exodus 6:6-8, Hebrews 10:23, Isaiah 55:11)

Song for the Week:

“Faith” Written and Performed by John Stuckey Jr

NEVER WEAKEN

Never weaken Never sway

Just believe in His Promises

Trust in His word every day

Reach for the sky

No force can deny

His Grace is sufficient

For just You and I

The Road may seem tough

Sometimes it gets rough

No cross, no crown

For me, that’s good enough

Never weaken Never sway

For His mercy and kindness

 Will brighten any day
