That Guides Your Journey
“Do not give a war cry, do not raise your voices, do not say a word until the day I tell you to shout. Then shout.” – Joshua 6:10
This Message is inspired by the Reading, The Road Less Traveled from the Book Overcoming Darkness.
The World is filled with Waring Spirits. Confusion and Evil surround us every day. It promotes Anger, Strife and Hostilities. We have Wars. We have Rumors of Wars. We hear cries of Peace then we see destruction from natural and man-made disasters. What manner of person should we be? (2 Corinthians 10:4-5, James 4:7, James 3:16, Matthew 24:26-27, James 1:23-27)
Joshua commanded his army to not say a word until he told them to shout. Joshua’s obedience to instruction from God is a great example for our Spiritual Growth. He never questioned or tired from carrying our God’s will (Patience). Joshua never took matters in his own hands. He was patient to see the Salvation of the Lord. Joshua Never Weakened and Never Swayed. He witnessed God preparing a table in the presence of His enemies. (Proverbs 16:3, Exodus 14:3, Psalm 23:5)
Our Flesh is very quick to declare war. We raise our voices and speak in Anger in our attempt make the wrong into right. The Anger Spirit fuels our Self-Righteousness (The Anger Spirit). God’s anointed recognize that they must follow the Voice of God. His Voice leads our Path in every situation and every encounter in our earthly life. (Matthew 26:41, Ecclesiastes 7:9, Isaiah 30:21, Psalm 23:3)
God’s timing always has the greatest impact. This lesson is to not let our personal ambitions or Anger Spirit have us take matters into our own hands. When we follow God’s Order and Plans, He will share the appointed hour to Shout, Then the Walls come tumbling down. (Habakkuk 2:3, Ephesians 4:26, Romans 5:3-5, Romans 8:28)
Song for the Week:
“The Road Less Traveled” Written and Performed by John Stuckey Jr
THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED
The road less traveled
Traveling Far and near
Singing voices of love
Always ringing in my ear
Being always mindful of His cheer
Being prayerful for his promises always near
Being overwhelmed by His shining glory
Being blessed to tell the story
The road less traveled
Not a crowded highway
Knowing tomorrow becomes yesterday
Is why we sing Oh Happy Day
Knowing God’s Will
Is always for our good
We can’t doubt His promises
Even if we could
The road less traveled
A highway it is
Full of His Blessings
And the Promises He fulfills
