NOTHING BUT THE LORD

This message is inspired by the Reading “Peace” from the Book, Overcoming Darkness.

We at times will encounter experiences that challenge our Peace and understanding of God’s Will.  These challenges involve the Cares of This World.  The Wisdom of this World blinds our Spiritual Eyes.  We then see only what we want to see and not the Spirit of Truth. These are the Tests God has placed before us. (Deuteronomy 8:2, Matthew 8:23-26, Psalm 7:9)

Our Vision becomes blinded by what we think we see and what we believe to be true. Then God’s Will becomes only a figment of our Imagination (Double Minded Spirit). The “I Spirit” becomes our guiding force. Self-Righteousness becomes prevalent in our Spirit (Self-Righteous Spirit). We then believe we had something to do with our success. We subscribe to the Spirit that we are entitled to God’s Blessings. These Demons are within our Soul and can only be cast out by submission of our Free Will (Unclean Spirits). (Romans 12:2, John 8:32, Romans 3:10, James 1:17-18)

When we Cast all of our Cares on the Lord, we gain a perfect peace and Overcome the Darkness of the ‘I” Spirit.  We know and have witnessed that nothing in Life happens by chance or circumstance. It all happens through committing to the Lord in all that we do. Commitment to the Lord is demonstrated in our Faith.  Moses had Faith that God Would Part the Red Sea. Joshua had Faith that the Walls of Jericho would come down. Daniel had Faith that he would be delivered from the Lion’s Den. These are examples of how life’s experiences are “Nothing But The Lord.” (1 Peter 5:7, Romans 8:28, Exodus 14:21, Joshua 6: 2-3, Daniel 6:19-21)

When we embrace the Spirit “Nothing But The Lord” in all we accomplish, we gain the Favor of Asking God and Receiving from God. We are blessed to know that everything comes from Him and that we accomplish nothing on our own. (Matthew 7:7-11, John 16:24)

Song for the Week:

“Confidence” Performed by John Stuckey Jr Featuring Ed “Sax” Thomas

PEACE

His presence in the storm

Is like a refreshing and calming balm

He knows what tomorrow holds

Wrapped in His loving arms

In the darkness of the night

He will make everything alright

With His broad wings of love

He overcomes Satan’s might

Like the birds will always sing

Like the symbol of the wedding ring

There is no power on this earth

That can bring about our end

The Peace that exceeds understanding

When our fists are bound so tight

He then whispers in our ears

Perfect love is our hearts’ delight

His Peace is wrapped in patience

And sprinkled with kindness and joy

If we walk in His authority

We’ll enjoy life, reach for more

He will give us Peace

But only if we believe

All things are possible

With the faith of a mustard seed
