STAND STILL, SEE GOD’S SALVATION

This Message is inspired by the Reading “Peace” from the Book Overcoming Darkness.

Our Flesh continually needs appeasing and gratification. Its desires are contrary to being led by the Holy Spirit. Flesh becomes impatient when our expected results do not come when we expect them to come (Patience). Our Flesh will take matters into our own hands rather than waiting on the Lord for Guidance (A Word From the Lord). We then rely on our will rather than God’s Will being done. (Galatians 5:17, Isaiah 40:31, Psalm 37:34, Matthew 26:24, Exodus 14:14)

Patience is a Virtue (Not If But When). It is the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These Fruits are manifested in our Character as we grow Spiritually. These Character Traits enable us to spread the Message of Glad Tiding and Cheer. These traits are manifested in all that have eyes to see and ears to hear. (Do We Listen or Do We Hear?) (Galatians 5:22-23, Exodus 14:14, John 6:63, Matthew 4:9, Proverbs 20:12)

When we are Patient, we exhibit a Spirit of Calmness (Do Not Give A War Cry) We are not bewildered or dismayed by calamities. The enemy always flees from us. He has no ability to overwhelm us (The Devil is a Lie). We never lose our Faith. We keep our minds stayed on Him and remain in perfect peace. (Proverbs 20:17, Philippians 4:6, Isaiah 26: 3-4)

The Red Sea was Parted. The Jericho Wall fell Down. Daniel was delivered from the Lion Den. These are examples of Standing Still and Seeing God’s Salvation. Our desire is not to let the Old Man and former way of thinking control our actions. We continually Renew our Minds and Spirit with the Words from the Lord (Wait Patiently). God will fight all battles if we Stand Still and let Patience have its perfect work. (Exodus 14:21-29, Joshua 6:20, Daniel 6:22, Exodus 14:13-14, Ephesians 4-22, James 1:3-4)

Song for the Week:

“An Angel Woke Me” Written and Performed by John Stuckey Jr.

PEACE

His presence in the storm

Is like a refreshing and calming balm

He knows what tomorrow holds

Wrapped in His loving arms

In the darkness of the night

He will make everything alright

With His broad wings of love

He overcomes Satan’s might

Like the birds will always sing

Like the symbol of the wedding ring

There is no power on this earth

That can bring about our end

The Peace that exceeds understanding

When our fist are bound so tight

He then whispers in our ears

Perfect love is our hearts’ delight

His Peace is wrapped in patience

And sprinkled with kindness and joy

If we walk in His authority

We’ll enjoy life, reach for more

He will give us Peace

But only if we believe

All things are possible

With the faith of a mustard seed
