That Guides Your Journey
This message is inspired by the Reading “Checked Out of Confusion” from the Book Overcoming Darkness.
When we examine Free Will, we understand it to be our ability to be an Independent Thinker and do what we feel is Right. The Gift of Free Will was lost in the Garden of Eden. Adam’s Independent Thinking got us out of Order with God’s Plan. Our Independent Thinking continues to inhibit our ability to come to the knowledge of Truth. (John 7:17, James 1:13-16, 2 Timothy 3:7, John 8:32)
God gave Adam specific instructions to not partake in the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. Adam’s exercise of Free Will resulted in His disobedience to God’s Will (Don’t Bite Off the Fruit). Today, the enemy uses Spiritual Wickedness to confuse mankind as to what is Good and what is Evil. Everyone’s Free Will provides a different view. The enemy uses our Free Will to convince us that our Independent way of thinking is Right. This is how he roams the earth seeking whomever he can devour. (Right is Right) (Genesis 2:16-17, 2 Timothy 2:26)
Free Will is a Generational Curse the enemy uses to keep us in Darkness. Free Will Teaches us to seek what we desire and convinces us that it is God’s Will. Some Teach that we are Created in God’s Image and God is Perfect. This supports their view that God approves of our use of our Individual Free Will. But as we Overcome Darkness, we learn that we are not righteous and all have sinned. Knowing this to be Truth, one would question how we could be a reflection of God’s Image (Order). As we await the Perfect Day when Truth shall cover the Earth, we learn to stay in Perfect Peace by the daily renewing of our mind. (1 Corinthians 2:14, Romans 3:23, Romans 3:10)
Today, Our Challenge is to remove the Spirit of Free Will. It is fueled by Self-Righteousness. Our Spiritual Eyes continually reject our Free Will and Self-Righteous Spirit. It is born in sin and shaped in Iniquity. Seeking the Kingdom of God and its Righteousness overcomes our reliance on our Independent Thinking. (Psalm 51:5, Mark 6:33, Galatians 5:16-17)
Song for the Week
“Checked Out of Confusion” Written and Performed by John Stuckey Jr
CHECKED OUT OF CONFUSION
I checked out of confusion
Not a place for me
It dulls my senses
Can’t reach my destiny
It’s a sport practiced by many
It confounds my soul
But by God’s Grace
He shows us our role
He gives a message
So loud and clear
His work and His wonders
Are beauty to my ear
I checked out of confusion
No light over there
Now I see clearly
God’s blessings are everywhere
