That Guides Your Journey
This Message is inspired by the Reading, “The Road Less Traveled” from the Book Overcoming Darkness.
The Cup our Father has given us, shall we not Drink (The Cup My Father Pours)? Our Flesh when faced with adversity questions why God permits adversity in our Lives. When we question, we lack the understanding that God Permits adversity for the building of our Character. Our Spiritual Growth is predicated on our ability to seek our Heavenly Father’s Wisdom in All Matters. Being born but a few days and full of Sin, it is difficult for our flesh to escape Adversity (None Are Righteous). Adversity molds us to have a God-like character and let God’s Will be Done. We learn to count all adversity as a Joy. (Matthew 26:43, John 18:11, Proverbs 24:10, 2 Corinthians 4:8-10, Job 14, Romans 12:2, Matthew 6:10, James 1:2-3)
Adversity challenges us to Cast all of our Cares onto the Lord. Upon passing the Test, we see the Message and Blessings God has in store for us. We often sing the songs, “Lord Don’t Move My Mountain, Just Give Me the Strength to Climb” and “He’s An On Time God.” These Songs provide inspiration during adversity. These Songs inspire us to appreciate that God’s Plan for us always works for our Good. (1 Peter 5:7, Jeremiah 29:11, 1 Corinthians 2:9)
When we submit to God’s Will, our Spirit finds solace in knowing that His Wisdom is much greater than ours. We understand that He has a Master Plan for our Lives. We never suffer from Confusion because He Orders our Steps. (Isaiah 55:8-9, Proverbs 16:3, Numbers 6:24-26, Romans 8:28)
We see All Things Working for Our Good when we Wait on the Lord (Wait Patiently). God is always a present help and provides all of our needs. When adversity knocks at our door, we say, “Get Behind Me, You have no place in my Territory.” (Psalm 27:14, Psalm 46:1, Matthew 16:23)
Song for the Week:
“The Road Less Traveled” Written and Performed by John Stuckey Jr
THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED
The road less traveled
Far and near
Singing voices
Ringing in my ear
Being mindful of his cheer
Being prayerful for his promises always near
Being overwhelmed by his glory
Being blessed to tell the story
The road less traveled
All along Life’s Highway
Knowing tomorrow will be yesterday
Can bring joy and a better day
