That Guides Your Journey
This Message is inspired by the Reading “Life” written by John Stuckey Jr
In Life, we encounter experiences that test our Faith. Our Flesh and “Old Man Spirit” attempt to take control of situations and use our worldly wisdom to find solutions. Our Worldly Wisdom resorts to “I’ve got to do something about that,” and/or, “I can’t let them do that to me.” As we Grow Spiritually, we understand that we can’t stop anyone from doing anything. We have no control over others’ thoughts or actions. Mankind has attempted for over six thousand years to legislate morality. The results and outcome are consistent. We are not running anything. (James 1:3, I Corinthians 3:19, Ephesians 2:8-10, 2 Corinthians 1:4-5, Colossians 3:2)
Our Flesh desires answers Right Now. It has no desire to wait for a Word from the Lord. (Patience). As we Overcome Darkness, we learn Patience and Love to provide all Godly Answers. Patience Teaches us to Wait on the Lord for He provides all that we need. When we are Patient, we increase our Faith. Our Faith grants us the ability to accept The Cup that our Father Pours for us. We acknowledge that All things work together for our Good. (Philippians 4:6, Romans 12:12, Luke 17:5, Matthew 26:39, Romans 8:28)
The Prophets of Old Exhibited Faith and Courage while waiting on the Lord. They never took actions in their own strength but in the strength of the Lord (Unyielding Faith). Joshua received instructions from God and faithfully followed them. Daniel survived the Lion’s Den through Prayer and Faith. Moses was refined through Faith while dwelling in the wilderness for 40 years. (Joshua 1:1-9, Daniel 6:19-21, Zechariah 13:9)
When we reflect on our lives, we find the many blessings God has bestowed upon Us. Our reflection reveals that God has never failed us in our time of need. When we are of Good Courage and Cheer, the Lord is in our Midst. When we wait on a Word from the Lord, His Spirit always directs our Path. (Psalm 143:2, 2 Corinthians 9:9, Psalm 46:1, Joshua 1:9, Proverbs 16:9)
Song for the Week:
“Need A Word From the Lord” Written and performed by John Stuckey Jr
LIFE
Constant battles so it may seem
What does it take to reach my dream
Can it be that sometimes
I try with all my might
Just seems like nothing
Wants to go right
As I sleep I think and pray
Lord bring some blessings
By my way
His answer is always
So loud and clear
To you all my Love
You have nothing to fear
Those battles turn to Victory
And bring glad tidings and cheer
Knowing our Heavenly Father
Is always present and near
