That Guides Your Journey
This message is inspired by the Reading “Get Close to God” from the Book Overcoming Darkness.
Throughout the Bible, we find God fulfilling promises of a double portion of Favor to His Faithful. God’s Faithful always acknowledge that their Blessings come from God. We understand that our God Given Talents are to glorify Him. We acknowledge God in all our ways. When others see us they see the God in us. We always acknowledge that any success we enjoy is but for the Grace of God (All Things Work for Our Good) (Ezekiel 47:13, 1 Samuel 1:5, Job 42:10, Psalm 86:12, 1 Corinthians 15:10)
God has a Double Portion for all. We must first believe that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him (Seek Ye First). Then, we must have no other God before us. We relinquish the God of Materialism and gain at any cost. And finally, we must seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness. His Word becomes a Lamp unto our feet. (Hebrews 11:6, Exodus 20:3-6, Luke 12:15, 1 John 2 16-19, Proverbs 27:20, Matthew 6:33, Psalms 119:105)
Our Double Portion can be a better paying job. It can be a successful business. It can be an increase in our Faith. We drink from the Cup our Heavenly Father Pours. God gave us all different Talents and Gifts. When we use our Gifts to glorify his name, we receive increase (Living a Blessed Life) (Luke 17:5, Luke 22:42, Romans 12:6, Matthew 25:15, Proverbs 13:11)
God has the Whole World in His Hands and all that is in the World belongs to Him. God’s Plan since the Garden of Eden is to bless us so abundantly (Life Abundantly). God promises that eye has not seen, ear has not heard what blessings He has in store for us. Our Spiritual Eyes can only imagine the great Blessings we will receive. (Psalm 50:9-12, 1 Corinthians 2:9, Isaiah 64:4)
Our Old Man Spirit will claim credit for God’s Increase. Flesh feels that it did the hard work to achieve our accomplishments. As we grow in Humility, we show respect to the portion and Favor God has shown us (Our Work is Our Ministry). Our daily Prayer is that God’s Will be done. We Cast all of our Cares Upon Him. He has never forsaken His Righteous. We always receive a Double Portion of Favor. (1 Corinthians 3:6-9, Ephesians 4: 22-24, Psalms 84:11, Matthew 6:10, 1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 37:25)
Song for the Week:
“Easy” Performed by John Stuckey Jr
GET CLOSE TO GOD
Get close to God
And He’ll get close to you
He’ll fight your battles
And give wisdom to guide you
Get close to God
And draw from his mind
For it is only He
Who holds the secrets of time
Get close to God in secret prayer
Ask Him how, when and where
And He’ll get you there
Get close to God
To use all His might
Follow our message
To keep God in sight
Get close to God
He is in every town
For it is only He
That makes the world go around
Get close to God
It will give us lasting grace
Turn away and
You will lose the race
