Key Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, requesting necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized treatment plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, temporary, or chronic health conditions, either in conjunction with physicians or autonomously (depending on qualifications)
• Guiding patients and families in health maintenance, disease prevention, and management
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapy as per practice parameters
• Engaging in patient follow-up and the management of chronic conditions
• Working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records in electronic medical systems (EMR)

Educational Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure these within 90 days)
